with their Solenco 1 REDP Application
SEC is a Victorian company established in 2008 by Future Energy Pty Ltd to concentrate on solar power station developments in Victoria and neighbouring States. Our first proposed project – Solenco 1 is a solar thermal power station development of 80MW.
This project was the subject of an application lodged in April 2009 for a grant under the Federal Government’s Renewable Energy Development Program (REDP).
Despite the project being shortlisted in December 2009, SEC was advised by the Australian Centre for Renewable Energy (ACRE) in May 2010 that its application was unsuccessful. SEC is now reviewing the project to determine if alternative funding sources can be accessed which would enable the project to proceed.
